What currency are prices quoted in?
All prices for travel, yoga and gear are given in American dollars.
Do you charge taxes?
Please note that applicable sales tax will be charged for all jewelry or other product orders shipping within the State of North Carolina, USA.
Can I pay you with a credit card online?
You can make payments on booked travel, Groovy Yogi gear and jewelry through any of the following channels:
Groovy Yogi Gear and Gifts - Groovy Yogi apparel and gifts are sold through Groovy Yogi’s Zazzle.com shop and your purchase is subject to Zazzle.com’s terms of use.
Travel/ Yoga/ Jewelry - You can make payment on travel, yoga or jewelry directly to Groovy Yogi via Paypal. Please email us at info at groovyyogi.com or through our Contact page for details on how to pay us with a credit card.
What if I don't want to do a transaction online?
There are other ways to communicate with us offline. You can call us, contact us through physical mail or visit a retailer that carries Groovy Yogi products.

You may purchase our jewelry from any retailer currently carrying Groovy Yogi. Contact us for a list of retailers. Please note that the retailer’s terms of purchase – including return policies – will apply. Please do not try to return items purchased from a retailer via this website.
What do I need to do to reserve space on a retreat?
To hold your space, please complete a booking form and make a 50% deposit. Your space will not be held without a deposit. The balance of the total trip cost will be due within 90 days prior to trip start date, unless a specific date is stated on booking form. Please contact us for a booking form or download one from the Retreats page.
Are the rates per person or per room?
All rates are quoted per person. Most retreats assume that there will be two people per room (double occupancy). If you would prefer a single occupancy room, contact us to see if it can be arranged and what, if any, increase in the per person rate will apply.
Are there any discounts available?
If you will be traveling with a group of 5 or more please contact us for additional savings.
Can you arrange my airfare?
We do not provide airfare arrangements on any of our trips. We are not an authorized reseller of airline tickets. If you need assistance booking air travel, please see contact us for airline information for your trip, our favorite online resources, and our recommendations.
Will I need a passport?
All of our international trips require passports. We try to specify passport, visa requirements and immunizations with the booking information for each trip; however, it is a good policy to check them for yourself. We provide links to the various important government resources for your trip on our Links page.
Will I need to obtain a visa?
While visa reciprocity exists between many countries, there are others with specific visa requirements. Please note that some countries require you to send your passport to the country embassy in the US prior to the trip. Please allow adequate turnaround time. We try to specify passport, visa requirements and immunizations with the booking information for each trip; however, it is a good policy to check them for yourself. We provide links to the various important government resources for your trip on our Links page.
Do I need any immunizations to travel abroad?
Immunizations are rarely required, but the CDC has recommended them for some of the countries we visit. What is your cancellation policy on trips?
Your deposit is non-refundable, though it may be transferred to another trip date, if available. For cancellations made more than 90 days before trip, you will be refunded 50% of the total trip price. If you cancel less than 90 days from start of trip, all your payments (minus a $200 administrative fee) may be transferred to another trip date, if available, or otherwise forfeited. Exceptions may be made for unforseeable emergencies such as the death of a family member, in Groovy Yogi's sole discretion.
Can I get a refund if I arrive after the retreat start date or leave early?
There will be no refunds for arriving late or leaving early. There are no exceptions to the above cancellation policies including personal injuries or weather.
What happens to my deposit and other monies if Groovy Yogi cancels a trip?
If a retreat is cancelled by Groovy Yogi, all deposits and payments to date will be refunded in full, which constitutes settlement fees. Guests will be allowed to reschedule for a future retreat within one calendar year of the cancellation announcement date by Groovy Yogi. Groovy Yogi will not be held responsible for any additional travel expenses incurred in preparation for cancelled retreats including airline tickets, travel delays, flight cancellations or illness. All participants must sign the "Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk" form prior to arrival. If this form is not signed prior arrival you will not be allowed to participate in the retreat and no refund will be made.
Should I get travel insurance?
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for all of our trips- especially if you are concerned about needing to cancel. We require travel insurance for all of our international trips. Insurance can be purchased through most credit cards companies and airlines, as well as independent sellers for a nominal fee.
Where can I find Crys Rivers' teaching schedule?
Look for workshops and group classes offered by Crystal Rivers on the Groovy Yogi Calendar.
How can I arrange a private yoga class with Crys?
If you would like a private individual or group class, please contact us to arrange location and other details. If you are local to the Research Triangle Park, we arrange privates in local studios and may be available to come to your home.
What information do you need from me if I take yoga from Groovy Yogi?
Whenever you choose to practice yoga with Groovy Yogi – in classes, workshops or trips – we may request information about your medical history so that we may better serve your needs. You can see our standard New Student Form on the Classes & Workshops page. All information will be held in the strictest confidence, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Do you use hands-on adjustments along with verbal instruction?
We believe that your yoga experience is enhanced with neutral, hands-on adjustments. These may take the form of a scalp massage, rearranging the placement of hands or other. If you wish not to be touched as a part of your yoga experience, please let us know in advance.

Groovy Yogi has chosen to send direct customers to local retail stores carrying Groovy Yogi jewelry. If there is no store near you, we will happily sell to you directly and will respond within 24 hours to any requests for prices and availability.

Will my Groovy Yogi jewelry look exactly like what I saw on my computer?
All of our pieces are handcrafted and/or cast and hand finished, using only the highest quality materials. We make every effort to ensure the colors on the website closely reflect the actual colors of the pieces; however, the colors you see on your monitor may vary, and we cannot guarantee accuracy of your screen.
Who is shipping the goods I order from Groovy Yogi? Are there shipping and handling charges?
Gear and Gifts - Groovy Yogi apparel and gifts are sold through Groovy Yogi’s Zazzle.com shop and your purchase will be fulfilled and delivered by Zazzle.com in accordance with their customer service and shipping policies.
Jewelry - Groovy Yogi offers Free Shipping on all US domestic orders every day of the year - online orders by US Postal Service Priority Mail only (customer must pay for expedited shipping). We will notify you by e-mail within one business day of any delays prior to sending. Please note the following:
- All in-stock orders are processed and shipped within 1 - 2 business days.
- We ship all orders by US Postal Service Priority Mail (2-3 day shipping) unless otherwise requested.
- Messenger Service is available in the Research Triangle Park, NC area. To arrange for messenger delivery, contact us at info at groovyyogi.com.
- Free shipping does not apply to wholesale orders.
How are returns and exchanges handled?
Gear and Gifts - Groovy Yogi apparel and gifts are sold through Groovy Yogi’s Zazzle.com shop and returns and exchanges will be handled by Zazzle.com in accordance with their customer service and return policies.
Jewelry - Groovy Yogi will gladly take returns for most items, unless it is a custom order. Custom orders include requests for special sizes and designs; these sales are final, and may not be returned, or exchanged. A credit will be issued for unused merchandise when returned within 14 days, with the original packaging. All credits or refunds will be issued less shipping and handling, if applicable. We are not responsible for the costs associated with returning any merchandise, such as shipping. Groovy Yogi is not responsible for returns that are damaged or lost in transit, so for your protection, please make sure the item is packaged well and is trackable.
